Srinagar, Apr 29 2017 : In Srinagar, Students told reporters that Indian forces thrashed them when they were holding a peaceful protest against the innocent civilian killings in Kashmir. Sources said that students were protesting inside the college premises however Indian police and paramilitary forces barged in used force against them.
“They (Indian forces) broke open the college gate and thrashed the teachers and students. They even damaged the cars parked there. Because of the beating, one of our teachers had to be admitted in a hospital,” he said.
Sources said that students came out of their classes and started protesting against the recent civilian killing at Kupwara at the hands of army. They were raising pro-freedom and anti-India slogans. Forces allegedly thrashed some students triggering clashes.
