Srinagar, 3, 2018: A youth was injured critically in Indian forces firing in Chewakalan area of this south Kashmir district, succumbed to his injuries at Srinagar’s SMHS hospital. Fayaz Ahmad Wani was critically injured when Indian forces opened fire to disperse a group of protesters near Chewakalan this afternoon, witnesses told media men.
The Indian troops fired bullets, pellets, live ammunition and tear gas, on protesters in which several were injured while Fayaz Ahmad Wani of Muhammad Ahsan Wani of Chewa-Kalan, was killed. Dr Saleem Tak, Medical Superintendent SMHS hospital in Srinagar, said the youth was declared dead on arrival at the facility. “He had suffered a bullet injury in head,” said Dr Tak.
Ahmad had received bullet in his head when Indian forces fired live ammunition to disperse a group of protesters in Chewakalan Kangan area this afternoon. He was taken to district hospital but the doctors there referred him to Srinagar hospital for advanced treatment.
