IAF Personnel Dies After Car Plunges Into Gorge In Ramban

Jammu, April 4 :  An Indian Air Force (IAF) personnel died in a road accident in Ramban district in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.The IAF personnel died after his car skidded off the road and plunged into 300 feet deep gorge at Maroog along the Jammu-Srinagar Highway. 

The IAF  Sergeant, Directorate of Mechanical Transport (DMT) at Air Headquarters, Sarafraz Ahmad Bhat, was heading for Kashmir.
On the other hand, the Jammu-Srinagar highway will remain closed on April 7 what authorities’ claim for carrying out repairs in landslide-hit areas of Ramban district.
 “Based on the direction passed for undertaking important repairs and maintenance works on highway, April 7 has been declared as a traffic dry day between Nashri to Navyuga tunnel”, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Ramban, Mohita Sharma said.
Meanwhile,  the Leh highway was on Tuesday closed for traffic after avalanche hit near Zojila Pass in  Ganderbal district.
The avalanches hit near Panimatha and Kai-Pathri on Zojila Pass following fresh snowfall in the area.
