May 25, 2019: A group of Hindutva group of cow vigilantes killed a 50-year-old Nayeem Shah when he was carrying cattle at Nalthi Pul area of Baderwah area of Chenab Valley in Jammu region on May 16, 2019.
Speaking to a local news agency, the eyewitness, Yasir Hussain who was accompanying the victim, Nayeem Shah, said that they were stopped by a Hindu fanatics ‘Radical cow Vigilantes’ groups near Nathi Pull area of Baderwah and accused and thrashed them to pulp, he said, adding, “we told them we were carrying horses, they Hindu armed members did not listen to us and shot Nayeem Shah with a 12-Bore Desi Rifle,” Yasir said.
The police and Indian army establishment is encouraging these hindu armed groups on name of VDC and cow vigilant names in Jammu region,
“Nobody came to our rescue,” Yasir said. Immediately after the incident, Internet has been snapped in the Baderwah District of Chenab Valley, and authorities imposed a Curfew in the area, Nayeem is survived by five daughters and a son.
